Plans and payments.
Thunder is NZ$55 + GST a month for hosting. Lightning is NZ$99 + GST a month and adds unlimited everyday updates with Arc: text changes, adding or replacing your uploaded images, and moving existing items around the page, subject to fair use. Prices are per website. Both include fast AWS hosting, CloudFront CDN, SSL, platform security, free domain registration and DNS. Annual prepay is NZ$550 + GST for Thunder or NZ$990 + GST for Lightning: pay for ten months, get twelve.
When your website is live with us. There is no hosting charge while we prepare the move or rebuild. Hosting is prepaid monthly, or annually for twelve months at ten times the monthly price. Modernisation is a separate one-off payment. All advertised prices are plus GST.
You can upgrade from Thunder to Lightning whenever you like. On monthly plans, we refund the unused portion of your prepaid Thunder month, calculated from NZ$55 + GST per month, then start a new Lightning month at NZ$99 + GST. Your new monthly billing period starts when the upgrade takes effect. If you prepay annually, we confirm the remaining prepaid balance and new billing arrangement before changing your plan.
You can request a downgrade from Lightning to Thunder at any time. On monthly plans, the change takes effect at the start of your next monthly billing period, when your subscription moves to NZ$55 + GST. You keep Lightning and Arc until your current paid month ends. If you prepay annually, we confirm the timing against your prepaid agreement before making the change.
We allow three days of payment grace, as shown in your account. After the grace period, new website changes pause until payment is received. Your hosted website stays online and your download access remains available.
Updating your website.
Arc is your AI website helper on the Lightning plan. Tell Arc what you want changed, review your private preview, then approve it. The approved version publishes straight away. You stay in control, and our team can help with complex requests.
Lightning includes text changes, adding or replacing your uploaded images, and simple layout moves, such as moving a picture or text section around an existing page. These are included in your plan, with no separate hourly fee. Draft revisions stay within the same request. We review fair use around 300 confirmed changes per month, with a conversation rather than an automatic cutoff. New pages, blogs and larger redesigns need agreed scope. Complex manual work is quoted at an agreed hourly rate before we start.
Modernisation is NZ$999 + GST for up to 10 pages, or NZ$1,199 + GST for up to 30 pages. Human oversight is included: our team oversees the work and checks the result. We agree the scope, guide you through a simple interview and show you a private proof before launch. Hosting is separate and starts at go-live.
We can build your modernised website using HTML or React, depending on what your website needs. We agree the approach during your modernisation brief. You own the finished website and can download its files and content.
Our team can help. Text changes, uploaded image changes and simple layout moves are included in Lightning; needing a hand with an included change does not add an hourly fee. Complex manual work is charged at an hourly rate, with the rate, scope and estimate agreed before we start. Human oversight of a modernisation is already included in the modernisation package.
You do not need technical knowledge. We guide you through your company details, website access and any other users you want to invite. If you already have a website, start with its address. Describe changes in ordinary language and check a private preview before approving anything live.
Hosting essentials.
Free domain registration and DNS are included with both Thunder and Lightning. We help you choose and register your domain during setup. Already own one? We can help you use it or transfer it; you do not need to buy another domain just to host with us.
You can keep your existing domain registrar and email provider. Both plans include free domain registration and DNS, and we can help transfer your domain if you want to. We check the DNS and email setup before making changes. Moving your website does not require you to move your email or domain registration.
SSL, protected portal accounts, platform security and Amazon CloudFront CDN are included in both Thunder and Lightning at no extra cost. We do not charge for security tiers or security add-ons. Free domain registration and DNS are included too.
Daily website backups through AWS are included with both Thunder and Lightning. We keep recovery copies of website files and published content. If you need to recover an earlier copy, our team checks the available backup and helps arrange the restore. Backups are separate from the draft and approved-change history in your portal.
Our main hosting platform runs on AWS in Sydney, Australia, with delivery through Amazon CloudFront. Plans are priced in New Zealand dollars for NZ businesses. If you have a particular data-location requirement, tell us during setup.
You can cancel renewal at any time and keep the service through the end of your paid period. Your website and supplied content are always yours. You can download the website files and content we hold for you, even if changes are paused for late payment.
